In AHA4Attica collaborating institutions aim to
- To map the situation in the region of Attica and contribute with constructive proposals for the prevention and promotion of health and active ageing
- To participate more actively in European activities related to active ageing.
- To promote and prevent active ageing as a prerequisite for active ageing
- The creation of a space that will allow all stakeholders to work together to develop innovative solutions for active ageing.
- To support health and care providers to adopt innovative practices related to active ageing.
- To actively contribute to the development of regional strategies for the use of innovations in active ageing.
- To create a strong and reliable network of actors to be activated in the relevant EU funding programmes.
We believe that the specific Reference Centre will help the wider region of Attica to become a model for the future, a zone for the implementation of innovations related to prevention and active ageing, since the Attica Reference Centre Reference Site (AHA4Attica) will become part of regional and local
organisations, which have demonstrated comprehensive and thorough strategies for promoting innovation and understanding and addressing the challenges of providing health and care services in the ageing population.
Appropriate infrastructures have been developed and are at the service of public bodies, hospitals and other end-users in the wider European region. More specifically, the AHA4Attica research activities include:
- the development of web services and technologies to support health care and the development of new services and technologies to support health care services.
- healthcare support, the provision of electronic health records (EHR), the development of home care applications, IoT integration, and the development of web services for healthcare support.
- technologies to support living, building AI applications for healthcare purposes, using multispectral

- Business People in Green Dialogue: Erasmus+ Programme 2021-2027 Key Action 2: Small- Scale Partnership Projects AGREEMENT n° [2021-2-TR01-KA210-VET-000049308]. The project depends on business women in the green development process and increasing women participation in this new upcoming green policy process for environmental sustainability.
- HellasQCI: DIGITAL-2021-QCI-01-DEPLOY-NATIONAL. The project will deploy the HellasQCI infrastructure, an advanced quantum systems and networks national testbed for experimenting with quantum communication technologies and for integrating them with existing communication networks. HellasQCI comprises three different QKD testbeds, namely the Governmental (GOV), the Industrial (IND) and the Educational (EDU) that will spread across three metropolitan test sites: Athens (ΗellasQCI-Central), Thessaloniki (HellasQCI-North) and Heraklion (HellasQCI-South).

2013-2017: Development of Coordination Mechanisms During Different Kinds of Emergencies- COncORDE (Scientific responsible): COncORDE is a collaborative research project funded by the European Union under FP7-SEC-2013.4.1-4. The COncORDE project will develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to improve preparedness and interoperability of medical services during an emergency which affects the health of the population at local, regional or cross-border level. The project will incorporate existing operational assets related to security, trust and infrastructure and leverage them within the DSS. 2012-2016 : Prevention of Falls Network for Dissemination – ProFouND (Scientific responsible): ProFouND is a collaborative research project funded by the European Union under CIP-ICT-PSP-2012-6. ProFouND will directly address the objectives of the EIP-AHA by creating a Thematic Network with 21 partners from 12 countries. Objective is to embed evidence based fall prevention programmes for elderly people at risk of falls using novel ICT solution in at least 10 countries/15 regions by 2015, thus to reduce falls incidence in those regions by 2020. Objectives are achieved, using internet and ICT solutions to facilitate widespread implementation. Total Budget 1,026,569.00 euros- NCSR budget: 81,534.00 euros.

2014-2016 NCSR pilot within the realm of the REAAL project (Scientific responsible): NCSR pilot – ReAAL is a collaborative project funded by the European Union under CIP ICT PSP – 2012 – 325189 – www.cip-reaal.eu. The project aims to increase adoption of an open platform that provides a standardized approach making it technically feasible and economically viable to develop AAL solutions.
